VET courses have been developed to provide students with the opportunity to gain credit towards their HSC, as well as gaining national vocational qualifications under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Rosebank is committed to ensuring effective Vocational Education outcomes which complement the pursuit of academic excellence across all Key Learning Areas. Accelerated Hospitality, Sport Coaching, Business Services and Information and Digital Technologies courses allow students to undertake vocational training to kick-start their career while remaining in a comprehensive and caring school environment.
TVET courses are vocational courses delivered off-site at various TAFE institutions and occasionally at local Trade Centres. Year 11 and 12 students typically attend classes on Tuesday afternoons and achieve a Certificate I, II or III qualification. These courses contribute units towards their HSC credentials and those identified as framework courses can also contribute to the ATAR calculation.
