Student Leadership

Lighting the leadership flame in every student

Leadership occurs at all levels of Rosebank College. The essence of leadership is not about rising above the rest but creating conditions that encourage students to help others in exceeding their own expectations.

At Rosebank, student leadership is a way for students to voice their opinions and contribute authentically to their community, in the Benedictine spirit of service.

The student leadership structure is spearheaded by two College Captains and three Vice Captains, supported by our five spheres of leadership.

The five spheres of leadership

Rosebank has built a model of ‘five spheres’ of leadership, based on the Benedictine principle of ‘leadership through service’.

1.

The SRC, the voice of the student body

2.

The Service Groups, the hands of the student body

3.

The House Leaders, the daily face of the student body

4.

The Curriculum, Cross-curriculum and PACE Leaders, the minds of the student body

5.

The Mentoring Program (Peer Support and Pastoral Care), the shield of the student body

Sphere 1

Student Representative Council (SRC) The SRC is the voice of our students. It enables leaders to voice opinions, to contribute to the College agenda, allow students to identify the goals of the student body and to propose strategies to meet those goals. The SRC is made up of students from Years 7-11 and is facilitated by the Captains and Vice Captains of the College.
