Student Leadership

Student Service Groups The Service Groups are the hands of the student body and they work to promote community within the College and serve the wider community through fundraising and social justice activities. The Service Groups are: Social Justice, Culture and Identity and Environment. Each group has its own agenda for the year and holds events at the school to promote the ideals and principles of their group. These groups are open to participation from younger students who have an interest or passion in that area.

Student House System The House System is the daily face of the student body. The 10 Houses are named after significant men and women in the history of the College. Two House Captains represent each of the Houses. As well as the annual Swimming and Athletics Carnivals, House Captains encourage their fellow students to positively contribute to all aspects of College life. They work closely with House Coordinators organising House events, running House meetings and supporting the charities allocated to each House. They also lead the organisation and running of House-based competitions (sporting and otherwise) within the College.

Curriculum, Cross-curriculum and PACE Leaders These leaders represent the minds of the student body. Representing each Key Learning Area as well as our PACE program and Cross-curriculum, including Diverse Learning and Careers/VET/TVET, these student leaders work closely with the Coordinators of these areas. These students also represent Rosebank at Open Day and other events, telling the community and future families what their particular learning areas offer to Rosebank students.

Mentoring Programs The Mentoring Program is the shield for our students. It is dedicated to developing students into adults and to establish relationships that are based on mutual respect, trust and a two-way communication process. Mentoring provides an opportunity for sharing skills and experiences so students can develop their own personal and educational goals.  Mentoring is facilitated at Rosebank through various programs including the Peer Support Program. Year 7 students are mentored throughout their first year by a team of trained Year 9 Peer Support Leaders.
